A good life for young people on Tåsinge

From the Area Renewal Programme

We have been hired by the municipality's urban renewal programme to create a new framework for a good youth life on Tåsinge, based in the villages of Lundby and Landet. We will map the needs of young people, develop ideas and implement them together with the target group. The target group is mainly 13-17 year olds.

Active part of village communities

Young people can use the sports facilities in the hall, but beyond that, many of the villages' current events are primarily aimed at families with children and adults in general. Young people should be invited to participate more and become an active part of the village communities, so that generations can meet and perhaps form friendships across age groups.

Goal

  • The villages provide a framework for an active and good youth life that attracts young people from all over Tåsinge
  • Young people themselves contribute to defining and realising their wishes for a good youth life and are given responsibility for its viability
  • The villages' existing and future communities embrace all young people and invite them to participate actively

We use our "exploratory user involvement" method to interview children, young people and adults around the young people to map their situation, understand their needs and build relationships with them. We reflect on this and analyse it openly to see how a good leisure life for young people can be created.

The initiative works in tandem with other initiatives in the area renewal programme

  • Cultural melting pot
  • Green links
  • Meeting point in the countryside
  • Friendly roads

Just as the municipality's other initiatives and strategies are taken into account.
